Since December of 2002, Hudson Poly Bag has been registered to ISO 9001-2000 with TUV. The implementation of this quality system has validated and quantified our previously existing system.

Our benchmarks have always been to be "On time, On spec and On price". Now, we have measured this and are delighted to have a record of 99% on time performance, less than 0.5% return rate and statistically negligible billing error rate to our customers.

We are not completely satisfied with this, however, as there is always room for improvement. We have embraced the concepts of continuous improvement and constantly strive for perfection.

What is ISO 9001:2000?

ISO is the International Organization for Standardization. It was begun in 1947 with the purpose of facilitating and supporting international trade by developing a standard by which organizations can manage their Quality Systems. The first standard was written in 1987 and has been revised several times since then, with the latest revision in 2000. The ISO 9001:2000 standards are more Process Oriented and can be adopted by any organization.

What does this mean to our customers?

HPB chose to implement ISO 9001:2000 standards within our organization in order to improve our quality and maintain a means for continuous improvement of our processes. Through implementation of a more formal Quality Management System, HPB looks to further enhance the consistency and efficiency of our processes, which translates to increased value for our customers. Because our Quality Manual, Process Documentation, Metrics Collection, and Management Reviews are audited and approved by an independent third party, you, as our customer, can rest assured that the HPB Quality Management System is functioning to support the success of our relationship.

What does this mean to HPB’s Processes?

HPB is the same, flexible, quality manufacturer that our customers have always known. Pursuit of ISO 9001:2000 Registration further ensures the consistency of our ability to quickly and efficiently manufacture products in support of our customers’ specific needs. The only change is that we have documented our processes and formalized the Quality Management System in which we collect metrics data, analyze that data, and continually strive to improve our business.
